Gibson Heads For The Batcave

After the travesty that was Batman & Robin, Mel Gibson may be set to replace George Clooney as the Caped Crusader. Director Richard Donner who's worked with Gibson in the four Lethal Weapon films wants Gibson in the tights instead of Kurt Russell who was rumoured to have got the part. Provisionally titled 'The Dark Knight' shooting should begin in Australia soon and Jack Nicholson is believed to be returning as the Joker.
