Maverick Films is leaping on what it clearly sees as a cool new trend – urban exploration. For those of you older than, say, 12, the term refers to… well, breaking and entering. The often subterranean subculture encourages today’s youth to win respect by getting into the most difficult banned sites such as missile silos, lunatic asylums and storm drains. Tut, in our day, we made do with Old Man Withers’ house on top of Scary Hill.
In Jeff Dixon’s spec script Buried, our heroes will stumble upon the results of World War Two experiments gone horribly wrong. So Doom, but without The Rock. And probably Dexter Fletcher.
