Moody monochrome seems to be the order of the day at Paramount, with the release of four black-and-white posters of next year’s live-action G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra. They feature Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans, Ray Park and an almost unrecognisable, raven-haired Sienna Miller as Duke, Ripcord, Snake Eyes and the Baroness, operatives of the elite Cobra-wrassling cohort.
It’s something of a good news/bad scenario for fans of the comic-book though: the good news is that the studio have a trailer ready to roll, the bad news is they ain’t sharing just yet. Rumours suggest it’s being held back for a first official airing during one of the Superbowl’s half-time ad breaks on February 1.

With The Mummy’s Stephen Sommers behind the camera, G.I. Joe (or ‘Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity’ to the purist with time on their hands) is currently in post-production, with release scheduled for August 2009.
