Legal hotshots at Twentieth Century Fox are going gunning for anyone who tries to push pirate copies of Planet of the Apes online. In an original move to put an end to internet piracy, the studio has contacted ISPs all over the world asking them to suspend sites which are hosting the movie. 'It's evident that Internet piracy is proliferating and [Planet Of The Apes] is a very important property to our studio," a spokesperson for Fox told Screendaily.com. The move by Fox shows how seriously movie studios are taking the threat of film piracy on the internet. However the UK remains relatively free of the problem due to low bandwidth access to the internet and expensive phone charges.
