Focus – appearing in the second story of the day – has clearly been searching down the back of the sofa for money to buy films. It has agreed to produce a $20 million biopic of Julia Mullock an American interior designer who married the last crown prince of Korea. Now that’s going up in the world…
The film, which is currently working titled The Julia Project, charts the story of Mullock, who met her late husband (we’re pretty sure he wasn’t deceased when they met, but hey - it worked for Anna Nicole Smith) in New York in the ’50s, after the Korean Royal family had been all but banished from the country. After marrying, they lived in Hawaii and Seoul, but divorced after pressure from his family in 1982 because of their lack of children.
There’s no director attached yet, but the company plans to put one in place for a shoot later this year.
