If anyone can heal this broken land, it’s Jacob Tremblay. The nine-year-old Canadian is everyone’s favourite child actor of the moment, after breaking our hearts in Room star and then fixing them again with a series of awesomely charming awards season appearances. The Star Wars fanatic is fulfilling a new dream in his next movie and working with a Star Wars director Colin Trevorrow in The Book Of Henry.
The new issue of Empire has the full story on the latest from Jurassic World and now Star Wars: Episode IX man Trevorrow. There’s much more in the magazine, but here’s a first-look still from the film to give a taste of what to expect.
On the left with the plunger is Jaeden Lieberher as child prodigy Henry Carpenter; on the right is Tremblay as his brother Peter. The Gregg Hurwitz-scripted story sees the pair on a so-far mysterious scheme.
“I wanted to do something that scared the hell out of me” Trevorrow tells Empire of his return to smaller-scale filmmaking. “An acoustic movie with intense emotion. The challenge was to give an audience the same tension and thrills they get from a blockbuster, but rely solely on story and character to do it.”
For much more on The Book Of Henry, as well as Star Trek Beyond, X-Men, The Accountant, Jason Bourne, David Brent: On The Road, Christopher Walken and lots more movie and TV goodness, pick up the new issue of Empire on Thursday, June 30 or subscribe here.
The Book Of Henry is out later in 2016.
