Elf and Zathura director Jon Favreau’s found the ultimate outlet for his love of classic cars.
He’ll write and direct the action drama Johnny Zero for Sony. The plot follows the birth of the hot-rod movement after World War Two.
"I've always been intrigued with the culture and music of the post-war period," Favreau told Variety. "The birth of hot rodding marked a new chapter in the American dream."
It’s a busy time for Favreau. With Zathura now in cinemas, he’s turned his attention to directing an adaptation of sci fi novel John Carter Of Mars, along with writing and producing animated comedy Neanderthals.
