Having already worked together on both That Thing You Do! and Band Of Brothers, Tom Hanks is reteaming with his son Colin for magician based drama The Great Buck Howard. Kevin Kline is in talks to play the eponymous illusionist who struggles to make his way after his glory days are in the past. Hanks Jr will play a kid straight out of school who becomes the magician's assistant. Hanks is in line to play his disapproving son, who is not taken with his son's new career path.
The movie will be written and directed by Sean McGinly, who has previously directed little seen comedies Brothers and Two Days. Shooting is scheduled to start in New York come July.
