What if Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope was re-cast with a megalomaniacal toddler as Darth Vader, a fat simpleton as Han Solo and a predatory paedo as Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Who would do such a thing you ask? For the guilty party, look no further than Seth McFarlane and his comedic compatriots.
As Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest - an animated parody of the revered space opera - gears up for its DVD debut on January 21, we've got our hands on an exclusive clip.
Taking its name from the working title for Return Of The Jedi, Blue Harvest finds Peter Griffin piloting the Millennium Falcon with his canine right-hand man Brian standing in for Chewbacca. Along the way, they encounter an overweight Luke Skywalker (Chris Griffin), a predatory Obi-Wan (Herbert the creepy neighbour), an oversexed C-3PO (Quagmire) and a much put-upon Princess Leia (Lois Griffin).
It's all looking typically Family Guy-ish, and with more irreverence and in-jokery than you can shake a lightsaber at, this outlandish effort (made with the full co-operation of Lucasfilm) is shaping up to prove that in space everybody can hear you laugh.
