ET drowned by Titanic Wave

Lovers of cuddly, home-phoning aliens take note. Your hero has been swept from its perch as the number two all-time best-selling movie. The culprit is none other than Titanic. (So no surprises there. . .) And the watery epic should soon overtake Star Wars, which is the record holder. All of which is a further fillip to the crew of the Titanic and her fourteen Oscar nominations. The seemingly unsinkable movie didn't get Best Original Screenplay in the recent Writers Guild of America award. That was won by James L. Brooks and Mark Andrus for As Good As It Gets.
