Emma Stone had a solid career bump last year thanks to Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Help and this year she’ll crop up in both Gangster Squad and some small art project about a guy who has spider-related powers. Now it looks like she’s found a new comedy project to star in, with GK Films taking over Little White Corvette.
The script, written by Michael Diliberti, finds a down-on-their-luck brother-sister duo travelling to Miami in order to sell a bag full of cocaine that their dead dad left in the trunk of his car.
While Diliberti originally intended to direct the film himself, it would appear that he’s no longer in the big chair, as the producers are now looking for someone else to take that task on. Still, he won’t be all that worried – he’s got plenty of writing assignments to keep him busy, as he’s already sold pitches to Warners and Fox.
As for Stone, she’ll crop up in a small role in multi-short comedy pic Movie 43 this year before we get to see her romance Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man and then turn to Ryan Gosling’s Sergeant Jerry Wooters in Ruben Fleischer’s tale of 1940’s cops trying to take down mobsters.
