Elton John - real name Reginald Kenneth Dwight - is teaming up with Woody Allen's former producer to embark on his film company's debut feature, Women Talking Dirty, set to star Helena Bonham Carter. Bonham Carter is to play a lively and outspoken single mother in Edinburgh, who develops an unlikely friendship with a shy cartoonist portrayed by British TV actress Gina McKee. The picture, costing $5 million, is being directed by Coky Giedroyc (Stella Does Tricks) and began shooting Sunday at London's Shepperton Studios Elton John's Rocket Pictures was set up two years ago under a five-year development deal with Walt Disney and will produce with New York-based Jean Doumanian, who is making her first British film. In addition to producing Allen films such as Celebrity, Deconstructing Harry and Mighty Aphrodite, she also produced David Mamet's arthouse hit The Spanish Prisoner. John will serve as an executive producer, the music supervisor and will also unsurprisingly write the score.
