Now that Thank You For Smoking helmer Jason Reitman is firmly in charge of coming-of-age comedy Juno, he’s started to pick his cast.
Hard Candy’s Ellen Page will star as the titular girl, who heads out on a bizarre, tough and humorous journey when she unexpectedly falls pregnant after one night with her loyal best friend (Arrested Development’s Michael Cera). She looks for a new family for her impending child, but eventually realises that her friend is the man she loves.
With a script by Diablo Cody, it’ll start filming in January.
