A doctor has joined the list of defendants for Arnold Schwarzenegger's $50 million libel suit over a supermarket tabloid story claiming that he was suffering from heart disease. Also named Arnold, the doctor was approved for inclusion in the suit by US District Judge Mariana R Pfaelzer. The lawsuit was prompted by an Aug. 4 cover story in the Globe whose headline read 'Arnie's Heart Crisis'. The paper has defended the story's accuracy. The story concerns an operation which Schwarzenegger had in 1997 to replace a heart valve. The actor claims Fox never once examined him and didn't even have contact with him or access to his medical records. Catherine Olim, a spokeswoman for Arnie stated that the operation was "a complete success and he has made a full recovery'' She also added that in no way does Mr Schwarzenegger have heart disease.
