It's a pretty curious tale, this one. Disney is making a film about the life of Chippendales founder Steve Banerjee, and it's getting Barry Sonnenfeld to direct. Nothing too strange you might think - rags to riches, family entertainment and all that. However, try this for size: after the riches Banerjee linked up with organized crime, got a drug problem, apparently engaged hitmen to bump off associates and ended up hanged in a jail cell. The American dream, eh?
