Cinema movies can make you deaf, experts have warned. Oh for God's sake...WE SAID, "CINEMA MOVIES CAN MAKE YOU DEAF!" According to an investigation launched by the British Standards Institution (BSI), action-packed movies with booming soundtracks and explosions galore such as Lethal Weapon 4, Armageddon and Saving Private Ryan could have harmful affects on viewers' hearing. Recent advances in cinema sound technology have led to newly-released films reaching 'potentially dangerous' decibel levels, the BSI reckon. The findings could lead to the introduction of a British Standard, to regulate movies shown at cinemas in Britain as well as a set of guidelines being published for cinema-goers by the end of the millennium.
