News that a sequel to last year's frenetic live-action/CGI Peter Rabbit "adaptation" is in the works was met with the predictable blend of joy and outright horror. Regardless of your feelings, the sequel is still on its way, and now director Will Gluck has added a new name to the cast, with David Oyelowo joining up.

Quite what will happen in the new movie is anyone's guess at this point (though we hope Gluck and co-writer Patrick Burleigh) have figured that out, save for the notion that Peter (voiced by James Corden) will once again be causing furry chaos.

Domhnall Gleeson and Rose Byrne are back as Mr. McGregor and the rabbit-loving Bea (there's a likelihood they will also be once again providing voices for Mr. Jeremy Fisher and Jemima Puddle-Duck), and Oyelowo is joining the ranks of the live-action side of things.

Peter Rabbit 2 will be out on 27 March 2020. As for Oyelowo, he's worked on horror-thriller Relive and will be seen in Chaos Walking and fantasy adventure Come Away.
