Culkin Gets Serious

Macualay Culkin is said to be considering playing the role of a disco-dancing killer. The former Home Alone star is actively trying to pick divergent projects in an attempt to distance himself from his child-actor past (although the structure of this sentence would suggest it isn't working). The movie is about the life of Michael Alig, a prominent personality on the old Manhattan disco scene who is now in prison, serving time for killing a friend. The producers of the movie, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, have already made a tv documentary about the same subject. A spokesman for Culkin said that this was one of around 20 projects he was currently considering.
