Brokeback leads the Critics' Choice noms

The awards race is heating up with the announcement of the 2005 Critics’ Choice Awards. Voted for by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, which includes TV, radio and online critics, the gongs will be handed out on January 9.

Leading the pack with eight nominations is Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. In second place with six is Paul Haggis’ Crash. The full list of nominations are as follows:
