Titanic director James Cameron, in an interview with the Toronto Globe and Mail, said that he will be taking some time off from movie-making, but will return to it in about a year. He expressed admiration for the work of fellow Canadian director Atom Egoyan - particularly his low-budget movie The Sweet Hereafter, which he described as "tremendously powerful, with only one effects shot when the bus breaks through the ice. I admire that discipline." He also indicated in the interview that he may decide to make a film based on a good script and quality acting, rather than special effects. Which may be going out on a limb, somewhat.
