You all remember last week when we introduced you to Sammy the Movie News Sloth? You do? Good, because the idle git's at it again and there is no sign of anything approximating actual news to report today. That being the case please bear with us while we tell you that there might, maybe, possibly be a chance of Toy Story 3. Moviehole sent a man to Disney on the weekend and found out that there's provisional movement on the Toy Story front and that, if the project goes ahead, it will definitely be theatrical, rather than a dodgy straight-to-video effort. And that's pretty much it. What we can tell you though is that, with Pixar's contract ending in 2005 with Cars, Disney will in all likelihood be going this one alone. Yes, unthinkable as it seems, Disney have the rights to make sequels to any of the joint ventures (including the likes of Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo) without Pixar's consent or assistance. Clearly this does not bode well for a proposed third outing in the Toy Story franchise. So there you go. ... We've got some great articles on this site, you know. Take a look at Son of Quote Quiz or maybe this rather unorthodox interview with the stars of American Pie. Hopefully there'll be news aplenty by the time you get back.
