The somewhat mixed critical response to the latest James Bond outing has had little or no effect on the film's box office success, with Die Another Day successfully knocking other British export, Harry Potter, down from the number one spot. Taking $47 million in the US over the weekend, Bond, Jinx et al ran roughshod over the boy-wizard's mammoth marketing machine - which still managed to round up $42.4 million - to show that, despite its ups and downs, people still have a place in their hearts for the suave secret agent.
