With production finally looming on Bond 25 after a tumultuous year, fresh MI6 secrets are beginning to emerge about who’s coming back for the Spectre sequel. Daniel Craig’s James Bond is set to return alongside some familiar faces when Cary Joji Fukunaga’s film gets rolling – according to the Daily Mail, Lea Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann is set for a comeback after making it all the way through the last film.

In Spectre, psychologist Swann was introduced as the daughter of Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace baddie Mr. White, who teams up with Bond through the course of the film as he faces up to Blofeld’s evil agency. In the final scene, the pair drive off together in his Aston Martin DB5 – so it seems understandable that she’ll be back in some capacity. Also returning, according to the Mail, will be Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, who previously hadn’t been confirmed to reprise their roles.

Earlier this week, Fukunaga spoke about his plans for the film, telling Philippine newspaper The Inquirer that Bond 25 will continue threads from Craig’s debut in Casino Royale. “In his first Bond movie, Casino Royale, he [Daniel Craig] brought an incredible amount of vulnerability and humanity to the character, which was a big shift from Pierce Brosnan’s run,” the director said. “In terms of what I can bring to change the character, Bond is on a character arc that started with Casino Royale, and I will be carrying that on. There will be changes, I am sure. As in any story, a character has to change in order [to have] a narrative." He also added that the screenplay, from Bond regulars Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, isn’t quite finished yet.

Bond 25 is heading for a 14 February 2020 release, with the original November 2019 release date pushed back after Danny Boyle left the film over creative differences.
