It’s Britain’s Got Talent meets The Player. It’s Dragon’s Den with high concepts. Yes Empire Presents….Big Screen invites you to present your film idea to a panel of experts in front of a live audience. Smack Your Pitch Up is your forum to pitch that long cherished script to a panel of professionals.

The format is simple: You will be invited to stand up in front of the judges and have two minutes to present your idea to the panel. You can use fantasy casting, props, homemade posters — anything you can think of to bring your idea to life within the two minutes. But be warned: if your idea doesn’t grab the attention of the panel, you run the risk of being buzzed off.

You will then receive constructive criticism from the panel who will then decide which is the best idea of the session. The winner receives an iPod Touch 64 GB, the respect of the room plus if the idea takes the fancy of anyone one of the movers and shakers on the panel, who knows?

How To Pitch

The sessions take place every day at Big Screen at 3.15. If you have already booked your space in one of the sessions, please email ianf@empiremagazine.com with your name, the date you are pitching, the title of your pitch and a brief synopsis.

And if you still want to pitch or be part of the audience, then visit the Big Screen website.
