Alec Baldwin has returned the sizeable $21,500 fee he received last month for giving a speech at Syracuse University in the US. On March 9, Baldwin addressed 400 people at the University, but later decided to return his fee to the University Union Speakers Board, stated Lisa Stone, the board's chairwoman. "Mr. Baldwin's donation ... is a true testament to his generous and thoughtful character," Stone said. It's no secret that Baldwin - star of flicks such as The Edge and The Hunt for Red October - in recent years has taken to political activism and fundraising for the Democrats. Fortunately however, for everyone, he has made it clear that he has no interest in running for office himself.
