Celebrity photographer (in both senses of the word) David Bailey, is about to realise a lifetime dream and shoot his first feature film. Shooting of the $4.5 million indie thriller The Intruder started in Montreal this week with Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nastassja Kinski, Molly Parker and John Hannah (from Four Weddings and a Funeral). The plot revolves around a woman haunted by the ghost of her husband's murdered first wife, played by Gainsbourg. Sixty one year old Bailey was one of the most influential groovers at the heart of London's swinging sixties scene and now a bastion of the cultural community. It's more than a tad likely that Mike Myers' took a little inspiration from him in his portrayal of Austin Powers. Shagadelic, baby.
