Marcus Nispel, director of the forthcoming $100-million Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, End of Days, has abruptly left the project. Beacon Pictures are currently desperately trying to find a replacement in time for filming to kick off next month as planned. Rumour has it that the director's chair for the Schwarzenegger-vs.-Satan spectacular has already been turned down by Rush Hour's Brett Ratner. Others allegedly in the running include Chuck Russell, who directed Arnold in Eraser, Dwight Little (Murder at 1600), Kevin Reynolds (Waterworld), Peter Hyams (Timecop), Rob Bowman (The X-Files), and F. Gary Gray (The Negotiator).
