Angelina Talks Proper

While American actresses may be taking the cream of British roles, at least efforts are being made to maintain the original British flavour. In an interview with ign.com this week, Angelina Jolie confirms that - like fellow yank Renee Zellweger playing Bridget Jones - she will be giving Lara Croft a British accent. 'She's very British,' says Angelina of Tomb Raider's heroine, 'But she was raised a certain way, she was raised really proper. She has a very proper voice, but it's been broken down, and she has very proper manners, but they've been broken down.' By the sound of it filming, when it begins at Pinewood at the end of July, will be pretty arduous for Jolie. Training for the role includes, 'Bungee, ballet, diving, weapons training with Special Forces, kickboxing. Everything from soccer to rowing, to things that are British.'
