Recently featured on the front cover of Time magazine, 10-year-old sprog, Jake Lloyd, who plays Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, has landed a deal to appear in the father-son action drama, Madison. Directed by William Bindley who co-wrote the script with his brother Scott, the film is set in 1971 in Madison itself. It's a true story of a dying river town set against the backdrop of hydroplane boat racing. With the father yet to be cast, the film centres on the relationship between a racer who is considering moving his family out of town, and his young son (Lloyd). Costing $10 million, the independent picture will begin shooting this summer. Speaking of the nipper - no doubt unwittingly vying for richest kid in the world status - William Bindley said, "Jake is a terrific actor. He already has an extraordinary following among young kids. We're happy he's on board."
