In the assured filmmaking hands of Corin Hardy, the film will follow the story of Father Burke (Demian Bichir), a priest with a haunted past, and Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga), a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows, sent by the Vatican to investigate the suicide of a young nun. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret and risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the demonic nun, brought to life once again by Bonnie Aarons.
Conjuring overlord James Wan is producing alongside Peter Safran, with Gary Dauberman providing the script based on a story he cooked up alongside Wan. The Nun will be haunting UK cinemas on 7 September, and we'd be shocked if a trailer wasn't getting ready to strike soon.
