Meteos Review

Meteos

Like Tetris - the undisputed daddy of puzzle games - Meteos finds players facing a barrage of blocks that must be destroyed before they reach the stop of the screen. But while Tetris unfolds at a measured pace that becomes almost hypnotic after a few minutes, clearing levels in Meteos requires quick thinking and lightning-fast reactions, challenges best suited to the time it takes to travel between bus stops on the way to work. However, once you discover that randomly sweeping the stylus across the DS' touch screen achieves roughly the same result as actually solving the brain-numbing puzzles, Meteos quickly loses its appeal.
