With classic characters that can transform into human fireballs, stretch like elastic bands or clobber anything that moves, the developers of Fantastic Four were blessed with all the ingredients for a rip-roaring action adventure. Somewhere along the line, though, they lost sight of what makes the Fantastic Four fun. While they can all use their cosmic powers at designated points, for the most part theres little difference between them and youll spend the game hammering the same buttons again and again, no matter if youre playing as the Human Torch or Mr. Fantastic. Even worse, when you do unleash the heroes unique skills in occasional mini-games, all you do is hit a sequence of buttons before sitting back to watch The Thing do his thing. A downright offensive comic book spin-off.
