Lost: Season 4 Review

Lost: Season 4

It’s unusual for a show, having arguably jumped the shark, to vault straight back over. But that’s what Lost has done. With Season 4, gone are the now-redundant flashbacks, replaced by genuinely compelling flash-forwards to a time when Jack, Kate and several others have escaped, and a gradual reveal as to how the present and future narratives converge. On the island the action heats up too, with the introduction of three new characters and some genuinely tense action sequences as the ‘rescue’ freighter’s crew go about their mission. This season actually pushes the sci-fi boundaries even further, but under the influence of a guiding story arc at last, the show is actually becoming more believable.
