Downton Abbey: Season 2 Review

Downton Abbey: Season 2

This second season of ITV’s period-drama behemoth is packed with incident, from women’s rights to Spanish flu, with the shadow of World War I hovering over all. Twists and turns abound, upstairs and down: Mr. Bates and Anna struggle to escape his evil wife, Matthew and Mary are trapped in a love triangle and Lord Grantham gets tempted by a mousy maid. It’s Dynasty in period clothes, but rip-roaringly entertaining.
