I know actresses who also look as good as the women...
...depicted in comic books are hard to come by i.e. possess fabulous figures aswell as acting talent. But a mediocre looking girl with an B-Cup bosom is completely unacceptable! We need a woman like Jennifer Connolly in her early Twenties. ... Read More

Comic-Con 2008 Watchmen Panel
It's kinda been up for a while, but this (www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwCMwqCCZI0e Comic-Con International 2008 panel with the director, actors and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen illustrator) commenting on what it was like making the film and what it was like trying to bring the characters to life. I thought Nite Owl looked pretty fit in the trailer but I guess this was a flashback because actor Patrick Wilson (Nite Owl II / Dan Dreiberg) was cracking a few jokes about how the other actors had to work... Read More

I do try. What did you think of it? It's being discussed over in the Comic Shack forum at the mo: www.empireonline.com/forum/tm.asp?m=1520000&mpage=1 &key= really should join the debate. I do like it, but reckon I need to give it a second read some time in the near future. ... Read More

RE: No, no and no again!!
L:mysweetrhodora. So you've discovered someone making a spelling mistake on the internet. Well done. Have a biscuit. All I’m saying is don't be shocked when 2009 rolls around and this film turns out to be less than average. Hellboy, Spawn, Ghost Rider. All kid-friendly, CGI heavy wastes of time. This film will be no different. In the words of Peter Parker in Spiderman 3, 'I'm done trying to convince you.' ... Read More

RE: Alan Moore interview
everyone seems to be saying that this trailer is only good for fans of the graphic novel...which is weird because i hate comics, and have never read a graphic novel, and my knowledge of the Watchmen consisted of "hey there's areally hyped up comic book film coming out" and I gota say the trailer absolutely rocked. I'm now fully prepared to give My Snyder another go... And if you read the comic con stuff, the movie is actually very bloody...the trailer was just toned down a bit... ... Read More

L: punchdrunk I thought they were still frames.lmost finished the Graphic Novel I prefered Night Owls entrance to the prison in the trailer rather than just strolling down the prison corridor, I know they were trying to be anti-action in parts of the novel, but It works better cinematically. Strange how Cassius2004 seems to hold the Novel in such restrictive grip towards adaptation to the screen, creative choices can often work in the favour of the audience, Wolverine would look l... Read More

L: grucl L: Wozza31 Goddamn it, why can't Snyder just run a camera at 24 frames per second? Maybe because some of the scenes are slow motion in the comic as well (like Ozymandias beating up the guy in the fountain)... hought they were still frames.p; Almost finished the Graphic Novel I prefered Night Owls entrance to the prison in the trailer rather than just strolling down the prison corridor, I know they were trying to be anti-action in parts of the novel, but It works better cin... Read More

RE: No, no and no again!!
L: Cassius2004 I say this without a hint of sarcasm. This movie is going to be shit. Silk Spectre would NOT dress up in PVC to save her life. She never wanted to be a crime fighter. Nite Owl is NOT Batman. He's over the hill, overweight and a complete geek. He certainly never jumps in the air as the trailer suggests. Dr. ng his powers was NOT a liberating experience as the trailer seems to show. It was sheer agony and very gruesome. None of the Watchmen are what you'd call heroes. They're... Read More

RE: Watchmen Trailer Breakdown
L: punchdrunk L: cljohnston108 My only quibble with the comparisons is on the Nite Owl ship's emergence from the water. Empire put the insert from the book on the lower left corner of the image, blocking out the harbor buoy which is a key feature in both images. Granted, the frame they used has a bit better illumination on the ship, but I think they should've put the insert on the right side. The harbor buoy sells that shot for me. I heard on the news people get in trouble... Read More
