The trailer's pre-amble confirms that 'Cloverfield' refers to the codename used by the military for the monster - or monsters - that have attacked Manhattan. "Formerly known as Central Park" suggests that none of Manhattan escapes unscathed. Is this where the monsters first hits? Does the fact that the camera was found mean our cameraman didn't make it?
