The Incredibles
Review Pixar’s people may be geniuses when it comes to creating movies that appeal to audiences of all ages, but so far their console spin-offs haven’t appealed to anyone more sophisticated than a Busted fan. This time, though, the balance is just about right. Giving players a chance to sample the four heroes’ special powers, The Incredibles is a colourful, Mario-style cartoon quest where platform-hopping and monster-mashing are just as important as solving simple puzzles. You may have seen it all before in other adventure games, but what The Incredibles loses in predictability it more than makes up for in laughs, imagination and irresistible charm.
