Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Review Episodes I to III may reveal what went on before the events of A New Hope, but what happened to the Rebels after they pissed off the Empire by blowing up the Death Star? And what was Wedge Antilles up to while Luke was fannying around in the swamp with Yoda? Rebel Strike fills in the blanks. The third in LucasArts’ excellent series of action-blasters sees players scrapping TIE Fighters, hotwiring AT-STs and racing speeder bikes as they pester Imperials all the way from Hoth to Endor.
This time the battles can also be tackled in a multi-player mode that allows players to challenge each other to dogfights or team up for missions that include the Death Star trench run. Sadly, though, this edition also features ‘on foot’ levels where the heroes explore enemy ships and the surface of various planets — which are, quite frankly, rubbish.
