Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition
Review By shoehorning Midnight Club III’s massive cities, pumping soundtrack and complex car customisation onto a single PSP disc, DUB Edition is an incredible achievement. Sadly, though, the game’s beset by niggling problems that mar the shadowy street racing action.
Tedious loading times are the worst offender, the sprawling, open-ended cities taking anywhere up to a minute to appear after you hit the start button and seriously disrupting the flow of the action. The dramatic sense of speed seen in the PS2 and Xbox versions has also been compromised to squeeze the game onto a UMD, making DUB Edition pale in comparison to the daunting pace of Ridge Racer or WipEout Pure.
