Rising Kingdoms
Review Shifting attention from the historical setting of its Celtic Kings adventures to a colourful fantasy world, Haemimont has created a bold and ambitious real-time strategy game that brings something new to the hackneyed genre.
Success in Rising Kingdoms depends on players being able to split their energies between empire building and fast-paced tactical battles, using small bands of fighters to defeat and enslave independent nations such as the trolls, dragons or elves, races which can then be used to overthrow the other ruling classes.
The scarily intelligent computer-controlled enemies may have some gamers pulling the power cable from their PC in frustration, but megalomanical strategy nuts will lap up the challenge and welcome this opportunity to rule the world.
