Plot
With his record company in the doldrums, ambitious junior exec Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) has a brainwave — get washed-up, boozehound rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to recreate his sell-out show at the Greek Theatre in LA. That’s the easy part. Getting Snow there is a different story...

| The african face guy out does every ones performance...Laugh out hilerious from start to finish....although it has its dark unneccesary moments it is better than any adam sandler- happy madison film of the 200's. Brand's performance was good as well as jonah hill and also P-Diddy suprisingly. ... More | |

| Saw this the other day. Starts off okay but becomes rubbish by the end. The only highlight is P.Diddy stroking the furry wall and 'African Face' is the new name for my band in Rock Band. ... More | |

| A has-been rock star and an ailing record company need a quick fix. Cue the chubby guy of the record company office having an idea of bringing the two together to re-enact a legendary concert. We follow Alan as he has been given the unenviable task of bringing this out of control rock star from London to LA in 3 days to perform at the gig of a lifetime. This film is a total no brainer & not something I really wanted to see, but I gave it a go. From practically start to finish I was actua... More | |

| Was really looking forward to this. Unfortuantley I found it very dull and boring . There are a couple of funny moments, but they are few and faw between. One to avoid I'm afraid! Russell Brand can do much better. "This year's Hangover" it aint! ... More | |

| The first two acts of GHTTG are very funny. Brand is the best he's ever been and Hill is at his best since superbad. P Diddy is a standout and every scene he pops up in is gold. But after the brilliant furry wall scen it starts getting deep and dark. The two things no comedy should be, In Bruges being the exception that proves the rule, Brand attempts suicide at one point, and the concert isnt any bit as fun as the performances in the first half. A major dampener in what could have been 2010s fu... More | |

| This Year's Hangover | |
| One characteristic of the Hangover was that it was set in Vegas, a long-time no-brainer for childish comedies. Now imagine Vegas. Now imagine drugs. Now imagine a drug-induced free-for-all between Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, Colm Meaney and Diddy. And there you have it. The scene which sums up what this movie is all about, and by God it's funny. Okay, so they're only in Vegas for a little bit of it, but who cares. Sadly, not everything is funny in this movie. I still think Judd Apatow shoul... More | |

| Well after I saw the trailer I thought oh my... Another crap film, but I have been proven wrong. this film like many others had it boring parts but it's high points were amazing, the comedy was slick like it should be and as a whole the film worked, I am a big fan of Russell Brand as a comedian but not as an actor, but again he was very good. The story was great, the casting was great and overall I was very impressed. ... More | |

| L: Edward Nygma L: BOHEMIANBOB L: Edward Nygma Saw it yesterday and although I didn't mind it, it wasn't really as funny or entertaining as it could have been. I've disliked Brand from the start but he was admittedly quite funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. A whole film about that character though is a bit much. Main problem is that he's just not at all likeable. It's typical Bruno Syndrome: when a character is so convincingly a wanker that it becomes impossible to... More | |

| I saw a preview of this yesterday and laughed my ass off unexpectedly in the process! To the person who said "if you've seen one Apatow film, you've seen them all" - really? Haven't they heard of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" I think the reviewer has missed the point of the tone for Get Him to the Greek: If a comedy such as this doesn't have its dark moments, it will cease to be believable anymore. For me, the dark turns were welcome and Brand shows us he can be ironically funny and ... More | |

| Painful, too long, unfunny, then way too dramatic, and easily forgettable. When a film wastes Aziz Ansari and Kirsten Schaal, then only has TJ Miller for, what, one, admittedly funny jump cut, minute? Well, not good. ... More | |
