Plot
Three disabled rock musicians are looking for a drummer. Dries, a well known writer, seems the right guy for the job, were it not for the fact that his only handicap is that he can't play the drums. Review
Invoking the belligerent spirit of Man Bites Dog, Koen Mortier plays fast and loose in his adaptation of Herman Brusselman’s cult novel.
After opening with the footage running backwards, we see how misanthropic writer Dries Van Hegen became involved with a rock combo whose members all have physical disabilities. They’re also more than a little eccentric: one is a short-fused junkie, another keeps his father bound to a bed, and the third spends much of his time suspended from the ceiling in his dingy apartment.
This grungy anti-musical might culminate in a battle of the bands, but not before stopping off to offend just about everyone with its attitude towards women, gays, kids, and the elderly.
