The Adventures of Captain Zoom in Outer Space
Pre-Galaxy Quest, there was…

Plot
The forces of evil are attempting to recapture a human-inhabited earthlike planet that has been liberated by rebels. The son of one of the rebel leaders, an electronic genius, searches the galaxy for a hero and finds Captain Zoom, star of a 1950's TV series. He is transported to the planet as its savior, which role he must play despite himself.

Review
In a far galaxy, the usual space heroes are fighting against familiar tyrant Ron Perlman, when a Battlestar Galactica leftover boy genius sends out a teleport scoop to bring someone to save the day. However, the kid has mistaken Captain Zoom, hero of a 1953 children’s show on earth, for a real superhero, and actor Daniel Riordan blunders through the yarn more concerned about his firm jawline and sculptured hair than overthrowing the bad guys. Despite a few adult gags, it’s too child-orientated to be really funny or exciting.

Verdict
More irony needed. As such, kids only stuff.
