Plot Although Detective Eric Mathews (Donnie Wahlberg) has finally caught up with the serial killer known as Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), the psycho still has one big ace up his sleeve. At an unknown location, eight people are breathing in a deadly nerve gas and have only two hours to live. Eight people, including the cop’s only son..
Review Arriving last Halloween without a whiff of hype, psycho thriller Saw became a surprise hit, raking in millions at the UK box office. If anything, the sequel improves upon its predecessor’s perverse fascination with Seven-style murders and brutally violent puzzles. Individual set-pieces crank up the tension to a tasty level of hysteria as the clock ticks down in Jigsaw’s house of pain. Blood is splattered, sprayed and spewed across the floorboards, but the story also spends a little time fleshing out the background motivations of a killer whose intellectual games make Hannibal Lecter look like the compiler of The Sun’s quick crossword. Wahlberg’s dodgy cop might be a hardboiled cliché from his rumpled tie to his short-fuse temper, but the film itself regularly veers off the expected path, catching out the audience with inventive tricks and gruesome treats.
Verdict Morally dubious it may be, but this gory melange of torture, terror and darkly humorous depravity appeals to the sick puppy within us all.

Saw 2
This film was good, but that's it! And it wasn't half as good as the original! Maybe it didn't help that I saw part of the end before watching all the film! But it was more talky than the first and a bit more simple (I mean I figured most of it!) I think old jigsaw is losing his touch! ... Read More

being a fan of the orignal anything the sequel did would be pretty damned pushed to compete with it. Although i did still enjoy it and liked the new concept of time and having more people trapped in the game/puzzle... ... Read More

I don't think we should all go lookin too deep into it coz if we all got what we wanted of a perfect happy ending where he finds his son and he learns the error of his ways and becomes a good cop we'd all probably be complaining about that as well. i was expected gore, action and a fucked up twist at the end and i got gore, action and a fucked up twist thank you very much. It's definantly made me make sure i don't end up living up a worthless shitty life i tell ya! Still think se7en rocks more b... Read More
good premise, spoiled by annoying editing - those whip pan transitions dont work in that environment! all the corridors look the same, it doesnt look like a transition..apart from that, the hands in the box was good, but the ending was rubbish.. ... Read More
I wasn't expecting much from this film, and so was pleasantly surprised. Although cliche'd at times, it leaves any warnings of over-the-top cliches in the first twenty minutes. The direction is good, as is the editing such as the transfer from one shot to another which is done so smoothly. The acting is good, not particularly strong, but the strength of the script and screenplay carrys them perfectly. Of course the gore and "fucked up" factor make the film as twisted and brillant as th... Read More
This to me had the look and feel of a straight to video movie...very poor. Characters were just annoying and the villain, was a tad disappointing too.
The first one was inventive and scary, this one was just badly done. ... Read More
