Oliver and Company
Orphaned kitten Oliver falls in with streetsmart pooch Dodger and a canine gang.

submit to reddit

Plot
A lost and alone kitten joins a gang of dogs engaged in petty larceny in New York.

Review
Disney does Dickens, as orphaned kitten Oliver falls in with streetsmart pooch Dodger and a canine gang. Done in the days when Billy Joel (the voice of Dodger) was cool, this is cute but lacks the classic Disney charm that works for adults as well as kids.

Extras

Oliver and Company Oliver and Company
Released: 01 November 2001
A short cartoon starring Pluto, a plug for the movie’s re-release and a ‘making of’ that’s worth seeing if only for the animators’ early enthusiasm for the wonders of computers.

Verdict
Lacks the classic Disney charm that works for adults as well as kids
