Plot
The wife of a much older man finds herself attracted to their neighbour's son, who is closer to her age.

Review
The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee
Rebecca Miller’s third film after Personal Velocity and The Ballad Of Jack And Rose sees her fulfil her early promise, finally hitting her stride in her most mature, cohesive and satisfying work to date.

A luminous Robin Wright Penn plays Pippa, an ex-wild child with a much older husband (Alan Arkin, typically excellent), living in a sheltered accommodation community but increasingly drawn to her neighbour’s taciturn, 35 year-old son, played by a beguiling Keanu Reeves. Miller, who also scripted, takes a familiar premise but gives it life and originality, repeatedly thwarting expectations with quirky diversions and smart twists.

You can imagine my glee at having only 12 other people in the cinema when the lights dimmed. Now I don’t mind people talking over the adverts for Vodafone or Volvic or whatever but Im of the (seemingly lo... More

Empire need to get their act together! Wolverine gets one of the longest reviews i have seen in a long time whilst being shite and four and five star movies get a mere mention?? WTF?????? i guess that’s why you have the star rating system as you feel your readers must be getting into the twitter generation and don’t want to tire themselves with long laborious reviews and just check the stars for good/bad movies. Trust me the typical wolverine viewer wont even read the review where... More
