The (by now) oft-told story of Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala, who as Indiana Jones-obsessed kids made a shot-for-shot remake of Raiders, is given an extensive, charming retelling. The joy is in the Super 8-ish kid filmmaking antics (family dog = Nazi monkey), but it is also very effective on teen bromance, young love and the poignancy of thwarted dreams. A heartwarming tale, simply told.
