Purporting to celebrating “the magic of cinema”, this glossy tome is stuffed with ravishing film stills and portraits of legends. Plus, mysteriously, several images associated with The Day After Tomorrow. There’s plenty of eye-catching stuff to dig through, but Paolo Mereghetti’s prose is often ponderous, and there’s a heinous Blade Runner caption mix-up, with Douglas Trumbull mistaken for Ridley Scott.
