What makes Thomson so good is the sense he’s always having the final word. On Davis he opines, “She was very striking, but certainly not beautiful... The edge made her memorable — her upstart superiority.” Here, Thomson’s fully captured Davis’ inner-strength to rule any film she was in. Here’s hoping his series continues...
