Newlyweds Shrek and Princess Fiona are greeted with horror in her parents’kingdom of Far Far Away. A furious Fairy Godmother demands that the king make good on his deal for her boy Prince Charming to wed the princess. Can love prevail against prejudice and magic potions?
Gauged simply as a gag fest, this is a jolly rib tickle from start to big finish for anyone between six and death. However, it is stretched thinly in development of plot and character. Where will they go in the already-announced Shreks 3 and 4? Baby stuff, we fear.
